Passport 2 Employment (P2E)

The Passport to Employment program (P2E) is:

  • a weekly workshop based program;

  • run over an 8-week period;

  • targeting school students with multiple barriers, particularly those with a disability;

  • typically coordinated by a nominated local agency;

  • supported by a network of disability, education and community service providers in a local community.

The program aims to support young people with a disability and other challenges to overcome barriers to participation.

Sessions Often Include

  1. “Meet & Greet”

  2. “You’ve Got the Look” (presentation skills)

  3. “Healthy & Wealthy” (well-being and finances)

  4. “You’ve Got the Skills” (employability skills)

  5. “Accessing Support & Transport” (navigating services and public transport)

  6. Workplace tours

  7. “Pull It All Together” (transition planning and graduation preparation)

Who Runs It

  • Delivered by school teachers, disability service providers, and community facilitators, all with appropriate working-with-children credentials.

  • Sessions may include guest speakers from local industry and community.
